Proof That I Have Been Busy

The craft fair is in a few days. I have been rushing around trying to get stuff done. Mr. Bernie has been helping to cut papers for me. Which is kind as I would spend 40 minutes trying to get one image straight. Then it would only be about a 1/2 wide. I feel like I’m flying when he is helping!

I just wanted to show off a few of the fun things I made over the past week. I’m still not done, but this gives you an idea of some things:

We found a great deal on some mirrors and decided to add some fun to them. We scraped off the back of the mirror. Then we added a picture on vellum to show through the hole. One top of that we added the same picture on white paper. It kind of gives it a 3D effect. We made a couple different kinds of mirrors.

My friend Beth Ann from Its Just Life forwarded me a cool Halloween craft idea she saw. Someone spray painted a plastic skull with chalk board paint. How cool is that? I thought that I might be able to do that and not mess it up too badly. We decided to go with a resin skull, instead of plastic. A little more durable. I’m happy with how he turned out:

I have also been making cards to beat the band. My graphic Goddess is like a crack dealer. I swear she designs the coolest images and words. I got started on a couple new card lines in my Etsy Shop. Only three of each type up so far.

This old gal is from my Funny Girlfriend Cards series

The next set is the “Funny Fairy” series. Here is one of my favorites:

Inside reads: "Strap yourself in, it's going to be a long bumpy ride"

If you have a chance today, would you do me a favor? My friend, Sweaty from Do Sweat The Small Stuff is in a sort of blogging contest and needs votes. The winner gets to have their blog button on the sidebar of The Bloggess sidebar for a month. She has been in several rounds of the contest. Today is the last day for voting. It will only take a couple of minutes. Please, please, please? Go HERE and vote for her. She is number 5, the image of the sexy gal with he legs in the air. You don’t have to register to vote. Just click the star. I know she will appreciate it. I know I will appreciate it as well.  She is one of my best cheerleaders, so I want to be sure to cheer her on.  Thank you!!

Everything looks fabulous, Bernie! I'm especially loving that skull! You're going to do great at the craft fair. I just know it.

  4. This post was such a nice thing to do for Sweaty. I haven't checked the votes recently, but I think she's in 3rd place. Not bad!

  5. She now has 102 votes. Love your work.

  6. Argh! I voted, but now bitchy burbs is ahead by 11…just to clarify, I voted for sweat! Love the cards!

  7. You have been! And that last card will for sure be your best seller. Too funny!

  8. Everything looks great! I went and voted for Sweety too, she is currently at #1 with 80 votes. :) I love her blog, I don't comment often, more of a lurker, but I do read it.

  9. 63 votes as of now! Second place is at "Bitch from the Burbs" at a mere 48 votes. I read Sweaty's blog from time-to-time and she deserves to win ;)

I love the skull, and that "Not Playing with a Full Deck" card is great. I wish I could have your brain for a day and come up with all of these witty ideas! (Oh, your skull is going to be "pinned" as soon as I hit "submit comment.")

    • Oh, that is wonderful! She does deserve to win. Thank you for voting. You know that The Bloggess gets a TON of traffic.
Oh, Alicia, I\’m not that clever. I found the old lady on Flickr free to use. My Goddess sent me words and I just matched them up.
      Thank you for pinning me!!

  10. Ghoulash??? You kill me!!!!
