I think a max cheese puff bikini would be even more buoyant!
Oh, you have a a point there!
Wow! That is so cute and I love that Bikinis. Bachman snacks is my favorite and nice share by the way. The three girls in the picture are gorgeous and beautiful!
Thank you. I don’t think I have ever had Bachman snacks in the Midwest or West. Or I just didn’t pay attention.
Well, I’ve never had Bachman snacks, but I’m going to probably say that they’re stoned because what goes better with the munchies than pretzels & corn chips?
I’m still trying to figure out “non-woven” material. Is that like plastic? EVERYTHING you wear is woven unless it’s leather or a sheet of plastic, right? And they’re really pushing the “velvety” thing – those disposable (?) bikinis have got to be itchy for them to keep wanting to mention how nice they feel.
Hi there! Someone in my Facebook group shared this site with us so I came to take a look. I’m definitely loving the information. I’m bookmarking and will be tweeting this to my followers!
This is so funny! My boy friend will love this, he is always hungry
It’s funny how things change. These days, we’re so into recycling that having something be disposable isn’t a selling point. Back then, we just merrily sent everything away to the landfill! Sounds like this bikini is not only disposable, it may also be dissolvable — not a quality I’d want in a swimsuit.
PS: You’re right about the models. The “mom” on the left looks dazed; the one on the right looks like she’s been enjoying some funny cigarettes.
If it weren’t ‘velvety’ I would WANT ONE!!
How funny would that be to wear a swimsuit with pretzels all over it! I love pretzels!
Ah, leisure suits, especially green ones. I remember those, having come of age in the 70s. But this bikini…I bet that’s a fashion trend that never reached Minnesota (where I live) from the coasts.
I bet it dissolves when it gets wet. A sure hit at the beach!
I am just so confused about this one—non woven material??? Does that mean it is made out of actual pretzels and that is why it is disposable?? I don’t get it…..my sister had a paper Campbells Soup dress—-I am sure it was something my mom saved labels for knowing her. Why would a disposable swim suit be a good idea??? I am baffled by this one. And whew—at least Mr. Bernie did not ever wear a leisure suit….whew!!!
I can see why this wasn’t a big hit that continued on through the eras. Disposable bikinis. That’s just not right! Gotta love the 70′s. This was the same era that came out with the paper dress! An ironing nightmare!
*lol* It was between this or a nasty looking mans pantsuit. I went with this because it was scarier. Saving the other one for another time.
The so called “Leisure Suit”! They were nasty! Looking forward to that one! Love this one though, never heard of these bikins!
I had to run into the kitchen and ask Mr. Bernie if he ever wore won. He looked at me like I had three heads and told me know. Too tight bell bottoms yes, but a Leisure suit no.
