Have a great Monday!! 1.  How do you order your steak?| photo © 2010 Michael Saechang | more info (via: Wylio) Medium Rare. When I was a girl my parents took us out to dinner. They waitress asked how I wanted my steak. I didn't know the term, so I replied, "With blood dripping out." I'm sure my parents were proud. 2.  Are you superstitious about anything? Bad things happen in 3's. Never mention Macbeth when I'm in a play. Sing at the table, your singing to the devil. I get that one from Jenny's mom who used to say it to us all the time. 3.  Who is your best friends (not including your spouse)? Jenny, who I have been friends with since she threw peas at me in 5th. grade. Michele joined … [Read more...]

I'm Twitterpated Over Twitter

By TwitterButtons.com I must admit that I just got into Twitter. I knew of people who used it, but never really had a desire to tweet. Now that I have my own blog, I have started to use Twitter. Its a great way to post about my blog. I follow folks on Twitter so I don't miss their blog posts. I have 37 people following my tweets and that is a start. Finding people to "follow" on Twitter has been interesting. It started out very slowly for me and I didn't know who was on Twitter. I followed some of my friends who tweet and looked for others to follow. Suddenly, people are following me and I get all giddy. Not a clue how they found me. I don't know who they are. Is it like Facebook? The one who dies with the most friends, wins? Do people collect friends, just to have them? Hoarding friends, so to speak? The first time I replied to a Tweet, I felt sick to my stomach. What if the person I replied to didn't reply back? I would feel like a total loser. Thankfully, she replied and we had a … [Read more...]

I Did Laundry During The Week And Lived To Tell The Tale

This week I did something I never do. I actually did laundry during the week. For those of you who are thinking, big deal, you just don't understand. Ever since I have lived away from home, the weekend was my laundry time. I prided myself on getting a majority of it done on Saturday or Sunday. Not even looking at the washing machine during the week. To me it was taboo. I would rather shove a dull spoon in my eye than touch laundry during the week. Mr. Bernie is the one who actually pushed me out of my comfort zone. On Wednesday, he looked down at me with his big blue. His eyes were tearing up a bit as whined,  "Bernadette, I'm out of socks." I kept on doing what I was doing and tried to ignore him. Like a child, he got louder. "Bernadette, what am I going to do? I don't have any clean socks. What will I do?" I suggested he re-wear a pair that looked semi clean. He looked at me as if I suggested he run down the street naked. *eye roll* "Bernadette, I need clean socks. How will I get … [Read more...]

I Have A New Obsession

I have a new obsession, as if i needed another one. However, this one is free, so that makes Mr. Bernie happy. Its all about him, don't you know? WordPress has a cool feature called, "Site Stats".  This handy little feature tells a blogger several different things. How many people have clicked on your blog, how they found you, if anyone clicked on a link you posted. The narcissist in me loves this! The most hits I had in one day was 96, the least was 31. Yesterday, a link I posted was clicked 5 times! That is so cool. Bloggers who have a huge following won't think that is so special, but for me I was dancing around my computer. Another obsession is finding new blogs. When I put in tags and get listed on WordPress, I go see who else has posted blogs with the same tags. I found a few cool blogs that way. A couple of these gals don't have many comments yet, so I make sure I go and leave a comment. I know it would make my day to know someone stumbled on me and liked my stuff. Now … [Read more...]
